About Me

I'm Jeferson Lopes Cocate, an Italian‑Brazilian creative strategist (EU passport) with two decades of experience in developing innovative MarCom strategies and results-driven integrated campaigns for major brands such as BMW, BSH, Capri‑Sun, Canyon, The ORGANICS by Red Bull, Beck's and HARMAN. Recognized at the ADC, One Show, Golden Drum, Red Dot, Effie and Webby awards, I've been doing freelance consulting for innovative concept and execution while building a platform about the Brazilian culture, mindset & lifestyle through outstanding and unique products.

After a one-year Rotary exchange program in the USA, I studied business administration followed by a marketing MBA in São Paulo. Those were simultaneously the springboard and the north star for the beginning of my professional career with MarComm and Branding. At first for social, sportive and cultural projects in Brazil, from small NGOs to big local enterprises, but since my arrival in Germany in 2012, with the blue-chip brands mentioned above. These long and intense experiences reinforced my conviction that MarCom and Branding only work in combination with high-quality products and exceptional customer service. Therefore, I always approach any task as the best chance of my life, taking into consideration:

i. challenge the status quo to unlock innovative ideas and bold concepts in order to solve any business matter

ii. fairly collaborate in a network that merges different players to get the best out of each of the various core qualities

iii. tap into culture, be it a tech trend or a human insight, for the sake of becoming relevant to the target-group(s)

iv. act, even if still in beta-phase, in order to be a first mover or own territory, and also to learn and improve yourself

Barbecue or pizza with friends is a must. I savor sleeping in my minivan in hidden places in nature. Perfect weekends have sports during the day and dance in the evening. There's absolutely nothing I love more than my family!

Career Highlights

Part of the team that brought to life a completely new brand identity for Capri‑Sun, winning an Effie Award and raising its market share in 18,5%, to 25,6% by 2022.

Helped Serviceplan to be ranked #5 in the Cannes Lions' top 10 independent agencies of the decade in 2020.

Safeguarded BSH's lead position in Europe and constant overall growth (2016: 3,5%, 2017: 5,8%, 2108: 4,6%) despite Samsung's fierce competition.

Won a ZDF (Germany’s largest television broadcaster) pitch for the launch of its streaming platform.

Contributed to Red Bull's first global campaign of its soft-drink product The ORGANICS by Red Bull with the production management of more than 400 (media) assets per year.

Assisted KMS in setting Canyon as a top-5 bicycle brand worldwide in sales and in Instagram followers with the launch of its new brand platform.

Celebrating MAN's 100 years in 2014, supported it to increase truck delivery by 4% and total revenue by 7% in the year that VW took full control of Scania.
